On The Issues

GENERAL

To represent district four and the state of Idaho to the best of my capabilities. This will require well thought, studied, reviewed and unbiased knowledge of issues, that my colleagues and I will face.  To explain the why, how, and steps toward the future in a way that the citizens can comprehend.

I take the word representative to heart.  Listen to the citizens feelings and goals to make the best  decisions for the state and district 4.  Based on that, use wisdom, action and motivation to make proper choices, and the best positive end result.

EDUCATION

When the education system, economy, environment, and elderly care are positive and moving forward consistently along with many other issues, the legislature and myself as part of the team will have accomplished what we set out to do.

Idaho educational system is one of the lowest in the nation, and I will work with other legislators to solve this problem.  Let’s give Idaho’s students the tools they need to catch up with the rest of the nation.  “Don’t Fail Idaho” is a great awareness campaign.  Now that we are aware of the needs, it is time to make this a reality.  Educations end product are the students.  It is our responsibility to fulfill the needs, structure, and financial capability for the students and the future of education in Idaho.

ECONOMY

Idaho’s wages are among the lowest in the nation.  As a result it is hard for a working family to make ends meet. We need to encourage start up companies and help existing companies to expand into Idaho.  Economic development incentives are paramount for the state and North Idaho.  The beauty, lifestyle and people of Idaho enables the opportunity for positive growth.

ELDERLY

Elderly Care is a major concern for all of us personally, state, and nation wide.  With the Baby Boomer getting into this catagory proper action must be taken for the future.  Many of us avoid this topic because the end of life is negitive, if we make it positive we as a group can make the Golden years just that way, and better understand what happens there after.  I will leave it at that to avoid any christian-political opinions.

My name is Pat Mitchell.  I am a lifelong resident of Kootenai County and a product of the Idaho Education System, from kindergarten to the University of Idaho.  I understand all the issues and would be blessed to work diligently as a representative from district 4.

I would invite a public discussion with the other primary candidate.  I can be contacted at mitchrep4@gmail.com or (208) 449-7797.
